OH MY GOD: I won???
May. 10th, 2008 03:22 pmOh my god! I knew I was nominated at
forbiddenawards but I didn't know Ashes to Ashes was nominated. And now, it's won for Best Work In Progress. No, for real!

Ashes To Ashes by
sevendeadlyfun
A true psychological thrill ride, deep into the heart of some of the hottest smut this side of Sunnydale. Sevendeadlyfun uses her psychological terms prompt chart with a deft hand and seamlessly weaves the ideas into Spike and Xander's growing relationship. Xander has issues; we all know that! But the skill with which the author delves into the psyche into this character is so delightful that I truly do Ache for more. Please sevendeadlyfun, I need more.
OH MY GOD! Okay, first I want to thank whichever one of you wonderful splendiferous people who nominated me! Secondly, I don't know who wrote the above paragraph, but I darned near cried at those wonderful words. I started writing Ashes as an exercise in both writing and psychology, sort of a way to blend my hobby and my future profession (9 more classes and I'm all graduated!). The award and the lovely praise? A welcomed but unexpected bit of icing on my cake. Thank you so much!
I also won an award for being a good cheerleader, which I actually cherish as much as my writing awards. Being part of fandom is such a great experience and in my opinion, I could not have chosen a nicer, more welcoming and enthusiastic fandom than the Buffy/Angel fandom. You guys totally rock!

And congratulations to all of you on my flist for your many wins:
clawofcat ,
snowpuppies ,
athenewolfe ,
darklingdawns ,
girlpire ,
ladyvirgo1956 ,
raemcn , and
lilithbint . Special congratulations to
hello_spikey for her win as Best New Author! And to think that when I first met her, she was a
feedmykink newbie with nary a porn scene to her name... :P
Seriously, I have the most talented flist...
