Reading fic before working on an economics paper will lead you to write things such as the following:

"As income growth rates rise, this can lead to an increased demand for goods both foreign and demonic (Arnold, 1008).

While certainly more interesting than the exchange rate regime of China, I doubt the Professor will be interested in the market for demonic imports. Mind off the fic and onto the finals, please.

Thank You,

Me

Seriously! Thank god I proofread, that's all I can say. Otherwise I might have gotten a mighty strange comment or two from my professor!

Wouldn't you know it, whenever I have midterms or finals that's when I get all these fic ideas. I feel like my subconscious is orchestrating some sort of self-sabotaging conspiracy.

Also, I would read a paper on demonic imports. I'm sure Anya would have very insightful things to say about the supply and demand of that market.

I'd write a paper on demonic imports, but that would require creating the economy from scratch and I'm burned out on macro at the moment. Deciding what the production possibilities frontier for Fyarl production is makes my brain hurt. Plus figuring out the kitten exchange rate, and whether it's an equilibrium exchange regime or a fixed one? That all spells too much work.

I may however work into a fic that Anya is taking a Demonic Macroeconomics class...

Hey, you never know; he/she could be a closet Whedonite. *g*

Somehow, I don't think so. He's a very stuffy Air Force colonel who does his best to never actually interact with his students if he can avoid it. I don't see him being all into Buffy and even if he was, I bet he's a Bangel shipper... :P
