Happy Thanksgiving to all my American friends and Happy Yay Those Irritating Separatists Have Left Day to my English friends and if you're neither American nor English, Happy Thursday!

Now, onto the "fandom iz srs bizness" portion of this entry...

I have an idea for another fic. It's been done before, but I want to try it anyways. What can I say? I'm not original, but I am persistent. My idea, which started writing itself in my head last night while I was trying not to think of all the things that could go wrong with dinner today (I'm helping cook a turkey dinner with all the trimmings for over 30 soldiers...there were a lot of disasters to cover) was to do the old "What if Spike got a soul instead of Angel" plotline, complete with Spandery goodness, because I think if I tried to write Spuffy my head would implode.  So, my question to the six of you that read this journal on a regular basis is:

Should I wait until I finish MoS and Ashes, thus possibly losing the thread of this story and never actually writing it OR go ahead and write it, attempting to divide my creative brain between three stories and possibly screwing them all up?

Challenge yourself. I love this bunny. It has a lot of potential. Your other two stories are going good but when you run into a dead end on one move to another one. Or just write it out dont post it right away and finish up the one that is almost finished then start on this one. You will do fine. Happy Holidays.

I always go for the more writing at once thing. Sometimes it's easier to focus on three tasks than just one!

i personally haven't read this from a spander POV. i'm intrigued...and i look at it this way; as long as their are WIPs...the fandom lives LOL

so i think you should do it

I'm a terrible judge since I barely have time to write anything at all and they're almost never WIPs (or else I'd never finish!), but if you have an idea humping your leg like a horny puppy, try to get as much down as possile. Even if it's an outline, a particular scene, some dialogue, etc. it's good to start writing because you will forget. I would suggest alternating on story lines, especially if you hit a rut on one.

I would hold your hand any time you wanted to try and write Spuffy =)

I've writen a WIP so I can't really give you an advice on that. Do as the Muse tells you :)

But it's very very intriguing! I'd definitely read it!

Okay, I'm of two minds about this.

Part of me really really really wants you to finish MoS first. I love this story and I so don't want it left as a WIP.

But I also think the plot bunny is terrific - though I have to ask when you would have him get the soul back. Would it be around the same time Angel did, back around the turn of the century? Because Spike was practically still a fledge at that point. Or would it be later, once he actually had things to atone for?

If you think your brain can handle two fics at once (and if you can then you're a better person than me *g*), then I say go for it.

And one last question; as long as it's not Spuffy (yucky!!),if you do write it, can I beta it? *g*

When the bunny attacks you must write! I know if I don't then I lose it while trying to finish other things and this idea I WANT TO READ! *puppy eyes* Please?

All I can do is give my own perspective, which in no way might match up with your own. If I had two or three things going at once, probably all of them would suffer. I *do* have to capture the idea though, in loose abstract form at the very least, and often with a very small vignette scene that for me gives the emotional essence of what I'm going for (it's all about the emotional response with me - of both the characters and the readers). Writing multiple things for me often results in them being diluted or starting to have the same emotional feeling to me, when they were not intended to be the same to start with (and how many of us have multiple works going that are intended to be the same - not too likely). Anyway, that's just me and you need to work with what works for you! Good luck with your decision - and I gotta say, in the 'yea, no spuffy camp' here Are you sure you don't want to do a nice toasty spangel? ;> Oh, ok, spander it is :>
