My Favorite Disclaimers

We've all seen them. Some of us actually write them. You know, some of us that aren't me. But, sometimes, the disclaimers are just as good as the fics themselves....

From Becoming Known by tistoo  :

"Me: Hey! Joss!

Joss: Tis! Wow, small world!

Me: Isn't it just? Speaking of small worlds, can I have Xander and Spike? Just for fic, you know...

Joss: Uh... you won't make them do anything weird, right?

Me: Nah... just go through tons of angst and then shag like crazed weasels. Graphically. Repeatedly.

Joss: Uh-huh. Well, as long as it's nothing WEIRD, they're all yours. Uh, can I have them back when you're done?

Me: HELL, NO!

Joss: Oh. Uh, can I have the link then?"



Now this one is probably my ultimate favorite and the author deserves huge accolades for her incredibly summation of all kinky fanfic.

From Finders, Keepers by shapinglight :

"Like most kink fics, the premise of this one relies on the reader's tacit understanding that all the characters took leave of their senses just prior to the story beginning."

I love these....No seriously, I heart them. Big loopy girl hearts and butterflies and possibly some sparkly stars....

Honestly, sometimes the amount of work authors put in to these just amazes me. Because why? I don't even bother with disclaimers. I figure that no one is ever going to mistake me for Joss Whedon, so why worry? But, than again I doubt I could some up with something this cool, either...
