1. OMG - Joss Whedon only knows like 15 people. Faith, Fred (doing a mighty Illyria impression in later shows), Wesley, Penny - will no one else take this man's calls?

2. The substitute Angel kills me. All the brood and 50% fewer facial expressions? JOSS. ILU. STOP THE MADNESS. Grab hold of the well-rounded hero character and roll with it. I'm begging.

3. I have the slightest teensy weensiest barely worth mentioning crush on Topher and by that I mean I want him to bear my geeky genius babies. Also - if there is not at least one community dedicated to Topher/Adelle 'cesty roleplay fics, I do not know fanpeoples. That wasn't even subtext - Joss just wrote that sick puppy right into the dialogue.

Fan baiting is never nice. Except when it really, really is.

4. I get it already. Military-industrial complex = bad. The horse died. The beatings can now stop. Find a new issue.

4, cont. Except not the serious Daddy issues you clearly already have. Boyd? The Boyd thing? Not even right. Just not. At all.

5. I just finished this afternoon. Re-watch commencing...about now.

Y'know, I could never get into that show? I kept hearing, "it gets better after the 6th episode!", but I do not have the attention span to sit through being bored for 5 weeks waiting for it to get good. So more power to you. *g*

I think it's first episode that really requires a willingness to ride. I started enjoying it after that. And my husband actually likes it, which is high praise as far as I'm concerned. He hates all television.

But I will say that I spent more than a few moments going "Oh Joss!" because it was like he'd saved up all the fucked-up shit he couldn't put into Buffy and Angel --- and then threw them all plus his Daddy issues into every script.

It makes for really bizarre scenes.

LOL! I swear Joss's best work was in Buffy and Angel. Firefly I couldn't get into and I was so not interested in Dollhouse.

I'm still not really hip to Firefly. It just doesn't grab me. But I've been contemplating giving Dollhouse a chance for awhile now and the first season just showed up at my library. So I figured why not? It's free. So if I hate it, at least I'm not out money.

We downloaded the second season from iTunes before we were even done with the first.

I liked Dollhouse for the most part. But then again, I am a fan of the Joss mindfuck. *eg*

Oh, I liked it. But it is way more mindfuck than Buffy and Angel. And yet, still follows the BtVS/AtS formula. It's an enigma wrapped in a mystery wrapped in some other unknown thing.

So, where's the Topher/Adelle D/s 'cest fic? KOFF KOFF, I mean, where do all the dollhouse ficcers hang out?

Check out [livejournal.com profile] dollhouse_tv or [livejournal.com profile] dollhousefics. I know I saw an Adelle/Topher site somewhere at sometime but I don't have a link. But check those two out. You might find something you like. *g*

I'm glad you watched this! Arianna and I watched it as it aired. And I have to admit that I was holding on for a few episdoes there going on faith that the ones that were coming up (which were supposed to be the part where Joss REALLY steps in) were going to get lots better. We both really thought they did.

I also thought season 2 was for the most part way better than season 1. But stil with the cancelling. Which is kind of par for the course with a Whedon show I guess.

Also, you are so right about Joss only knowing like a couple of actors - and you're not even counting the ones that came from Firefly. Maybe he should like get out more and meet new people. Or if he's gonna recycle he should use a few more of the guys I really want to see without their pants on. Then... you know... have them spend all their time without their pants on.

I mean honestly. Do I have to create my own show and call it "Hot Guys Minus Pants"? Then of course it would be followed up by the sequel "Hot Guys Minus Pants Who Enjoy Other Non-Pants Wearing Guys Sitting On Their Laps While Tisa and Mags Watch". Sure it's a mouthfull but I'm pretty sure they're both destined to be huge hits on Showtime.

Plus I have my own list of things concerning Dollhouse that are perhaps not as nice as yours.

1. Please stop using Eliza in parts that require range. That girl is like a stick with a wig in my opinion and this part just shows off all that she can not do.

2. Ditto for the block of wood co-starring with her. Tamoh has done better work elsewhere and for me he's just not attractive enough to have me forgive him.

3. Have EVERYTHING star Alan Tudyk. Who did in about 30 seconds what Eliza had spent episode after episode trying to accomplish. And why yes, I do have a mini-crush on that poor goofy, ginger-haired man. Mind your business. We can't all be perfect.

4. The supporting actors here are what makes this show. Killing off the 2 leads after 1 or 2 episodes would have suited me just fine. When Victor was a girl and dancing in the club? *adores* And Sierra and Victor were just too good for me.

5. Right behind you on the Boyd thing.

6. Even further up your ass standing behind you for the Topher/Adelle business.

Sorry for the spelling errors and multiple grammar issues. Also feel free to tell me how wrong I am about all of this. To which I'll say... Tra-la-la-la-la I'm not listening.

*sheeps you from behind*

Season 2 was definitely steps above season 1. It was not, sadly, "Hot Guys minus Pants who Enjoy Other Non-Pants Wearing Hot Guys Sitting on Their Laps while Tisa and Mags Watch". How has Hollywood not got this trend wave?

I will back up your list of complaints with mine own because wow:

1. The facial expression thing is still really bothering me. How do you have fewer facial expressions than David Boreanaz. IDEK. It's more of a mystery than the origins of the universe. At we have theories and myths to help us explain where we come from. The facial expression thing? A mystery to this day.

2. Victor dancing and Victor as Topher are my two high points in the entire series that don't relate to Adelle and Topher's OMGWRONG relationship. Sierra...eh. The woman is lovely but she cannot figure out her accent to save her life. PICK AN ACCENT. I mean, I'm forgiving when they wipe her and she's all Mae West, FBI serial forensic teenager murder victim whatever. But when she's not, her accent ebbs and flows, much like my love for her.

3. In a slightly related note, I kept waiting for Wesley's accent to come back. His American accent sounds faked. I know it isn't. But it sounds fake to me after umtpy-snout seasons of Buffy and Angel.

4. Why is there no Topher/Adelle DS 'cest fic? And if I write some for you, can we make an exception at feedmykink and just include all the Jossverse? Because really, there is no T/A kink comm (how is this possible I don't even) and I have some T/A kink that needs written.

It's disgustingly early here, but I am ridiculously excited to fangirl something again, especially with you.

*sheeps you squeefully*
