Well, it certainly turned out differently than Xander went through all that for. And if still ahd all those old memories he'd be wallowing in guilt, I reckon. But I think only two died this time, Doyle and Buffy, and as Cordy said, you can't fight fate. Some things are just meant to be. And Whistler did say he had set things right, so I guess that meant that Buffy was supposed to die when she did. Sigh.
But that means that there was no first and Spike didn't burn up, and there was no battle in an Alley.
