I would like point out that while your recommendations are helpful and have often led me to worthwhile films, Walk the Line is NOT a pre-20th Century period piece. Just because Johnny Cash looked 200 doesn't mean he actually was.

For the beautiful Brits on my flist: Is there a specifically British word for bookshelves? I'm obviously hallucinating but I could swear I've heard them called something else. And would Spike say bookshelves or bookcases? Or that elusive and clearly imaginary other word that I can't remember and am likely making up?
