Goddess: Illyria Manip (SFW)

Well, clawofcat  was bemoaning the lack of Illyria love in the fandom. She's right, too. Illyria gets no love...well, occasionally some tentacle love, but beyond that? Not much. So here's an oldie of mine that I made but never posted because there's no love for Illyria. This is part of my Gods and Heroes thingy that I started and like so much else, never finished. The others can be found here.


The text on the manip is taken from a lovely and poetic "Charge of the Dark Goddess" I found online...

Love the manip - and love how you incorporated it into the banner you made for my lj! Illyria brings a fascinating/intriguing element to the human and vampire mix of the A.I. team, imo.

Hehe...yeah, I plagiarized myself there...Illyria's so difficult to manip that (sadly) I didn't want to make a whole new one when I had such a lovely one on hand already...She is a wonderful character and you write her so well! Glad you liked it!

Because there are precisely two decent pics of Illyria in existance. OMG, just finding the pics at a high enough res was bad. Trying to make it work on another body? Whole realms of badness there. This will probably be my only Illyria manip, just for that reason...Glad you like, sweetie!

Ooh, I like her Mistress of Pain get-up. It's a strange sort of pose, but I think it works for her because it makes her look so inhuman, maybe a bit like a spider. She's also strangely attractive. I could see why anyone might want to do her. It's funny that she's got Fred's twiggy body. You never noticed how frail she is for all her imposing imperiousness.

As for Spillyria - I wish there was more of it too. I've mostly only seen that kinky tentacle stuff, but snowpuppies is currently reposting a great series of drabbles featuring the two of them. They're well-worth checking out. She's a fine writer. She also has reposted Spander drabbles.

When I saw the original picture, Illyria was the first thing that came to mind. It was such a bizarre evil bitch picture, so "watch me ruin you" that I needed to do something with it. I'm glad you like it.

You know what's funny,though? I don't like Spillyria. I've read several pieces and they were really good, but I didn't enjoy them at all. I'd love to see some Wes/Illyria or maybe even some Gunn/Illyria...but Spike and Illyria just doesn't do it for me. I'm so weird... :)
