Rupert is my guy, and you're totally right, they didn't explore him as much as they should have. I think they were setting up for it, too, with all of the old stuff about him being Ripper and involved in dark magic, but they just never went there, which was kind of strange.
They would've had a really good platform, but nothing ever came out of it. I mean, hell, he kills Ben and then comes back with enough mojo to kick dark Willow around. There HAD to have been a story in there - I wouldn't have minded some detouring to England for his side of that.
