I never expect new readers, so I tend to keep my summaries shorter than they should be and I apologize. This is chapter 16 of a story that takes place in a universe where Buffy was never resurrected and Anya died saving Xander.
Third, I don't think Giles was awful. I think that a lot of his actions were brushed aside and never really explored. He left Sunnydale after Buffy died and while he showed up for the next Apocalypse (and the one after that), he never really came back. I believe he was motivated by grief, but that was never really discussed. I'm sorry that you feel I've gone too OOC. Obviously I disagree or I wouldn't have written it.
I would definitely not characterize this as part of the canon universe, especially as I have not yet obtained the ability to turn into Joss Whedon. I enjoy people reading my work, but if this story doesn't work for you, I understand. I've read stories I didn't particularly like or appreciate. Maybe this just isn't a story you'll like? But, thank you so much for commenting honestly. I'd rather someone tell me what they really think, rather than either not saying anything or giving me a big praise buzz that isn't deserved.
